We at Atlas Glass Company in Philadelphia would like to take the time here to give a shout out to the single most decorated solder who served in World War II - Audie Murphy (June 1925 - May 1971). Murphy served in the United States Army in the 15th and 3rd infantry unit was the epitomy of courage under fire. He received not only the Congressional Medal Of Honor, but the Distinguished Service Medal, Silver Star (twice), the Bronze Star (twice), the French Legion Of Merit, the Purple Heart (three times) and many more. He once held off a German Company of solders single-handedly for more than an hour, allowing his unit to safely fall back. We salute you, Mr. Murphy!
